SVN Hosting Down :( — Should reinstall from source.

with 3 comments

Brief: I should really build this from source this time– for now, my “current version” is maintained on a USB stick. I’ll fix this on the weekend, there’s way too much to do right now– Since I can’t have both versions of the binary running at the same time, I won’t be able to do a handy “svn import”. Looks like I’ll have to manually move files around… Ugh…

When will you get git. :-P

NEVER! I completely overlooked the subversion binaries that are built into OSX Leopard! Gwahahaha!

Later that day… Okay okay okay– I *am* having some difficulty getting gitosis set up as an auto-launching daemon though. I’ll have to bother you with one of my systems so you can tell me what I’ve overlooked.

A Cheap SVN Drag & Drop Installation

without comments

Brief: I’ve decided not to waste too much more time trying to compile SVN (Subversion)– It’s pretty obvious that I’ll have to start from scratch and get the latest Apache installed from source with all of the modules I want in mind before I get started. The drag and drop method is what people do when we’re too busy to actually sit down and compile and configure things… Anyway– here’s a very out of date drag & drop of SVN called Mac SVN Server (MAS) which has since been discontinued (i.e. no mention on original author’s site). It does what it’s supposed to, but cannot be cleanly configured to plug into more than one repository.
